Vocal Clarity uses the framework and course materials developed in San Francisco at the Institute of Language and Phonology by Arthur J. Compton, Ph.D. This program begins where conventional English as a Second Language (ESL) courses end and was designed specifically to aid ESL individuals to improve their spoken English.

Our tutor, Cathy Vine, studied elocution with Charlotte Bosler Ellis. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts and Master of Science in Communication Disorders from The Pennsylvania State University. Following national examinations, she was awarded a Certificate of Clinical Competence by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association.
She worked with children and adults for over 20 years as a speech language therapist and lectured on cognitive and communication disorders in Massachusetts prior to moving to the UK.

Cathy is a member of the Voice and Speech Trainers Association (VASTA).
